Janie Clay Persons

Mrs. Janie Clay Persons, 64, of Noxapater, Mississippi, passed away at her residence on Wednesday, April 27, 2011. Visitation will be at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home in Louisville, Mississippi, on Friday, April 29, 2011, from 5:00 p.m. until 8 p.m. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 30, 2011, at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Sanders officiating. Interment will follow in Noxapater United Methodist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Persons, born on October 22, 1946, was a homemaker and a member of Noxapater Baptist Church. Mrs. Persons is survived by her husband, Gene Persons of Noxapater, Mississippi; two daughters, Karen Persons of Starkville, Mississippi, and Kristen Persons of Memphis, Tennessee; one son, Charlie Persons, Jr. of Shuqualak, Mississippi; one sister, Sue Ward and husband, Billy, of Louisville, Mississippi; one brother, Gene Clay and wife, Sherry, of Noxapater, Mississippi; three grandchildren, Courtney Persons, Caitlin Mitchell, and Ethan Persons; and one great-grandchild, Gracie Kay Mitchell. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Wesley and Elsie Elizabeth Clay and one brother, Jimmy Clay.Pallbearers will be Bobby Persons, Matt Persons, Tommy Persons, Mark Fioramonti, Clay Fuller, and Chase Fuller. Memorials may be made to Noxapater United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund or to St. Jude’s. Nowell-Massey Funeral Home, 724 North Columbus Avenue, Louisville, Mississippi, is handling the arrangements
