She loved gardening and watching the many flowers grow in her flower beds at her home in Ackerman, Mississippi. She also loved crocheting and crafting until the arthritis in her hands got so bad she had to quit. At this point, she moved to the Winston County Nursing home in Louisville, Mississippi. First and foremost, she loved and adored each and every one of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and all her nieces and nephews. She never seemed to tire of having as many of us around her as long as she could at any given time; she always said she would never tire of her family and we all knew it was hard for her to be “ok” with us living all over the country, as quite a few of us do. She was the best MOM she could be and will be sorely missed by all of her family and many friends and acquaintances, along with anyone who ever had the pleasure of meeting our MOM. She had the biggest heart of Gold. MOM, YOU WILL FOREVER BE IN OUR HEARTS, FOREVER AND ALWAYS. Mrs. Adams was a homemaker and a member of Chester Baptist Church in Chester, Mississippi. Mrs. Adams is survived by her ten children including seven sons: Charles Harold Adams and wife, Mary Ann, of Louisville, Mississippi, Claude Lee (Butch) Adams and Parkey Lane Adams both of Laurel, Mississippi, Ricky Dean Adams and wife, Donna, and Billy Joe Adams and wife, Sarah, all of Ackerman, Mississippi, Randy Adams of Laurel, Mississippi, and Charles Dean Adams of Ellisville, Mississippi; three daughters: Rebecca Ann (Adams) Jordan and husband, Nick, of Culver, Oregon, Anita Faye (Adams) Coatney and husband, Marty, of Lebanon, Oregon, and Carol Jean (Adams) Tanksley and husband, Rev. Freddie Tanksley, of Kosciusko, Mississippi. She is also survived by one brother, Harrison M. Cook, Jr., and wife, Evelynn, of Water Valley, Mississippi; sister-in-law, Vida Adams of Pontotoc, Mississippi, and brother-in-law, Carl Adams and wife, Bonnie, of Louisville, Mississippi; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Adams also leaves behind 37 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harrison Milo and Ida Estelle Chandler Cook of Water Valley, Mississippi, as well as a brother, Daryl Cook. Pallbearers will be Butch Adams, Lane Adams, David Taylor, Brian Horne, Shawn Ray, Patrick Adams, Billy James Crocker, and Billy Ray Crocker.
