Bonnie Taylor Ellis
Mrs. Bonnie Taylor Ellis, 91, passed away on Sunday, November 28, 2010, at home with her family in Jackson, Mississippi. Visitation will be at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home in Louisville, Mississippi, on Tuesday, November 30, 2010, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 1, 2010, at Poplar Flat Baptist Church in Louisville, MS. Interment will follow in the Poplar Flat Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Eugene Dobbs and Rev. Jonathan Peoples officiating. She was a retail clerk with TWL and a member of Poplar Flat Baptist Church and the WMU. Mrs. Ellis is survived five daughters: Margie Bell of Jackson, Mississippi, Ellen Dane and Wayne Prisock of Madison, Mississippi, Glenda and John W. Baswell of Ackerman, Mississippi, Sandra and Lavon Grace of Byram, Mississippi, and Connie Greer of Richton, Mississippi; one sister, Gladys Merritt and one brother, Ester Taylor both of Louisville, Mississippi; 12 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her husband, Leonard Ellis; her parents, John B. and Virgie Bagwell Taylor; four brothers, Burtron, J. D., Freeman, and Morris Taylor; and three sisters, Allie Mae Cockrell, Mattie Doris and Dessie Alene Taylor.Pallbearers will be Michael Grace, William Bell, Harris Bell, John Edd Baswell, Steve Prisock, and Preston Grace. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be Dale Vance, Louis Shepard, Rick Nix, and Ben Stutson. Memorials may be made to the Poplar Flat Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Roy Roberts, 128 McMinn Circle, Louisville, MS, or to the American Heart Association. Nowell-Massey Funeral Home, 724 North Columbus Avenue, Louisville, MS is handling the arrangements
