Donald Sims Williamson

Donald Sims Williamson, 78, passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo, Mississippi, surrounded by his loving family. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, October 12, at Massey Funeral Home in Louisville, Mississippi. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, October 13 in the Massey Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jerry Lundy officiating assisted by Danny Hancock. Interment will immediately follow the service in Harmony Cemetery.

Don was born March 4, 1946, to Zelf and Thellis Sims Williamson in Louisville, Mississippi. He was a member of Harmony Baptist Church. After 29 years, Don retired as a supervisor from the Spartus Corporation. After retiring from Spartus, he started his own company, D. W. Finishing, where he was involved in industrial painting. Don was an avid NASCAR fan and was able to understand that Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. won last Sunday’s race! He enjoyed camping in the mountains and he dearly loved his family.

Don is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Sandra Ellis Williamson of Louisville; and his four daughters: Daphne Williamson (Tammy Elliott) of Danville, Virginia; Dana Endy (Chip) of Prairieville, Louisiana; Jessica Williamson of Louisville, and Megan Putnam of Union, Mississippi. One of his greatest joys was being “PaPa” to his grandchildren: Ian Walton (Sarah); Caleb Walton (Samantha); Hanna Walton; Seth Walton; Chloe Walton; Jacob McMullen (Harley); Jordan McMullen (Arellyn); Aaron McMullen; Andrew McMullen; Simon McMullen; Phoebe McMullen; Sophia McMullen; Stella Williamson; Cooper Pitt; Walker Hartness; and Wilder Hartness; and his son-in-law, Andy Hartness. He also dearly loved his great-grandchildren: Lucas Walton; Lola Walton; Vanlee McMullen; Leland McMullen; Waylon McMullen; Grayson McMullen; Owen McMullen; Emmett McMullen; Willow McMullen; Jude McMullen; Lily McMullen; Enoch McMullen; and Arayah McMullen. Don was also blessed with four bonus grandchildren: Corina Justine Revis; Chad Endy (Samantha); Lucinda Endy; and Claire Endy; and four bonus great-grandchildren: Gage Revis, Gracie Revis, Mason, and Cedar Endy. He is also survived by his sisters: Linda Cooper, Jan Davis (Pat), Nancy Fulcher (Steve), and Maxine Smith; as well as a host of loving nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends. Don was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, June Black and Becky Mitchell; and brother, Harold Williamson.

Serving as pallbearers are Caleb Walton, Aaron McMullen, Andrew McMullen, Chip Endy, Andy Hartness, and Cooper Pitt.
