Mary Roberts McGee, formerly of McCool, MS, passed away on Monday, September 16, 2024, at Louisville Healthcare in Louisville, MS. Mary was born on December 28, 1956, in Durant, MS, to Howard F. Roberts, Sr. and Mary Olivia (Wigley) Roberts. She was 67 years old. Marywas a Retired Nurse. She was a member of Weir Baptist Church.
Mary was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. One of the phrases she would tell her children was “I love you everyday and twice on Sunday”. She was the sweetest person. You could always find her laughing and giggling with family and friends. She loved to sing whether she was on key or not. She was a huge animal lover. Mary was loved as a nurse as much as she loved being one.
Memorial services will be held at Weir Baptist Church in Weir, MS on Friday, September 20, 2024 at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow at Beulah Cemetery near Weir, MS. Visitation will be held prior to service time from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Weir Baptist Church in Weir, MS.
Mary is survived by her son, Jonathan McGee of McCool, MS; her 2 daughters, Sabrina (Cliff) Coulter of Brandon, MS and Jennifer McGee of Madison, MS; her 4 brothers, Joe (Donna) Roberts of Kosciusko, MS, Howard Roberts, Jr. of Durant, MS, Dwight Roberts of Sallis, MS and Clyde (Linda) Roberts of Mobile, AL; her sister, Rosanna Patterson of Madison, MS; and her 4 grandchildren, Seras Childress, Axton McGee, Jackson Coulter and William Coulter.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John McGee; her parents, Howard F. Roberts, Sr. and Mary Olivia (Wigley) Roberts; her brother, Tommy Roberts; and her sister-in-law, Arlene Roberts.
