Mrs. Miles was born to Aubrey and Fannie Mae Snow Holder on March 20, 1926. She was a faithful member of Enon Baptist Church until her health prevented her attendance. She was a dairy farmer along with her husband, Lester Miles. Mrs. Miles drove a school bus for Nanih Waiya School for 33 years and was a cafeteria worker for 24 years. She retired from public work in 1988, but never retired from helping her family, friends and neighbors, as long as her health allowed. She enjoyed gardening and quilting.
Mrs. Miles was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her brothers, Rudolph, Harold, and Donhue Holder; her sisters, Maedell Martin, Peggy Ruth Holder, and Betty Lou White; and her son-in-law, Gene Estes.
She is survived by her daughter, Patty Estes of Louisville. One of her greatest joys was being “Granny” to her grandson, Keith Alexander; great-grandchildren, Taylor Alexander (Ethan) Hamilton and Lane Alexander; her great-great-granddaughter, Lillie Ruth Hamilton; as well as a host of loving nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
Serving as pallbearers are Keith Alexander, Lane Alexander, Randy Sullivan, Aubrey Holder, Terry Holder, Randy Fulton, Bobby Paten, Lee Verry. Honorary pallbearers are Gabe Snow, Neil Snow, Joey Johnson, and Eddie Hildebran. Memorials in honor of Mrs. Miles may be given to the charity of your choice.
