Grady Earl Suttle

Grady Earl Suttle, 87, passed away with his loving family at his side on Monday, July 22, 2024, at Winston Medical Center Nursing Home in Louisville, Mississippi. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 24 at Noxapater Baptist Church with Rev. Trent Jaudon and Dr. Bob Massey officiating. Visitation will be the day of the service from 10 a.m. until service time at the church. Interment will immediately follow the service in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Noxapater.

Grady was born in Noxapater on November 6, 1936, to John Irvin and Edna Bane Suttle. He was a member of Noxapater Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. Grady served his community in various capacities including serving as an alderman for the City of Noxapater for more than 30 years. He also served on the Winston-Louisville Economic Development Board and the Renasant Bank of Louisville Board of Directors. Grady enjoyed serving others; working in his garden; and working!

Grady is survived by his daughter, Cindy Wilkes and husband, Charlie; son, Rusty Suttle and wife, Sherry; and brother-in-law, James Arnold, all of Noxapater. He loved being “PaPaw” to four granddaughters: Becky (Russell) Hamilton; Missy (Brandon) Sherwood; Joleigh (Kenny) Drury; and Jenna (Riley) Jones; as well as, seven great-grandchildren: Lexi, Winston, Reed, and Braxton Sherwood; and Gwen, Taylor, and Wes Hamilton. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jo Suttle; great-granddaughter, Lexi Sherwood; his parents; his sister, Ana Lou Arnold; and his brother, Ray Suttle.

Serving as pallbearers will be Hugh Brian Barrier, Speedy Calvert, Glen Haab, Bruce Kirk, Jim McAdory, and Marc McCool. 

Memorials in honor of Grady may be given to Winston-Choctaw Gideon Camp, P. O. Box 556, Louisville, MS 39339.
