Mary Marlene Cummings, age 81, passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, Mississippi. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday, June 4, in the Nowell-Massey Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jason Bridges and Reverend Brent Manasco officiating. Visitation will be the day of the service at the funeral home from 2 p.m. until service time. Interment will immediately follow the service in Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery in Choctaw County.
Marlene was born September 27, 1942, to Robert Inman and Bessie Mae Ivy McCulloch in Choctaw County, Mississippi. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. Marlene was a talented seamstress; she enjoyed her cats, but most of all, she loved her great-great-babies!
Marlene is survived by her brother, Robert McCulloch and wife, Earline, of Eupora, Mississippi; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Will T. Cummings, and her parents.
Serving as pallbearers Ricky Bridges, Kenny McCulloch, Curtis McCulloch, Jerry Cooksey, Jimmy Adkins, and Garry Dewberry. Honorary pallbearers are her great-great-nephews. Memorials may be given to Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, Mathiston, MS.
