Bobbie N. Adcock, 94, went to be with her Lord on April 5, 2024, at her home in Louisville, Mississippi, leaving behind her family and friends. Funeral services will be 12 p.m. Monday, April 8 in the Massey Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Trent Jaudon and Reverend Michael Wells officiating. Visitation will be the day of the service from 10:30 a.m. until service time at Massey Funeral Home in Louisville. Interment will immediately follow the service in Louisville Memorial Cemetery.
Bobbie was born on September 16, 1929, to Ran and Eunice Sellers Eaves. She was raised in the Ellison Ridge community along with her siblings, cousins, and large extended family. She grew up attending Ellison Ridge Baptist Church. Later, she would be married to Clifford Adcock for 64 years and raised her own family in Macedonia Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School and used her many talents in Bible School. Later, she moved with her family to South Louisville Baptist Church where she was a faithful member and really enjoyed her Sunday School class. She even would fill in and teach when needed.
To those who were close to her, they were greeted with a winning smile, happiness and joy, ready to begin any new project or task.
Her love for her Lord was evident by how she served those in her life, with her many hobbies. She could create anything on which she focused her attention. Bobbie was a worker. She cooked, sewed, quilted, crocheted, did needlework, decorated, arranged flowers, did ceramics, drew and created paintings in acrylic and oil. Her passion was oil painting after Mrs. Alba Hudson introduced her to this medium. She painted so many works for her friends, family, churches, and her own home. The churches which hang Bobbie’s baptistry scenes include Ellison Ridge, Macedonia, Harmony, Good Hope, Soul Harbor in Shuqualak, Mississippi, Mt. Sinai, and Noxapater Baptist and possibly others. She was always an encourager and even taught several students who were interested in art in her own home.
Bobbie loved to fish and spent many days teaching her sons how to fish and even hunt. She fished most often with her husband, Clifford. She loved nature, the outdoors, and gardening.
Bobbie was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Adcock; a granddaughter, Brittany Nicole Adcock; her parents; her sister, Sarah Holman; and her brother Guy Ran Eaves.

She is survived by two sons, Kevin Adcock and wife, Karen; and Keith Adcock all of Louisville. One of her greatest joys was being “Mamaw Bobbie” to her grandchildren, Eric (Cortney) Adcock and Kayla (Josh) Richards; and her four great-grandchildren: Walt and Leighton Adcock and Presleigh and Harper Richards. She is also survived by her sisters Jamie Hutto and Nancie Nicholas and her brother, Paul Randal (Nancy) Eaves.
Serving as pallbearers are Eric Adcock, Derek Eaves, Richard Eaves, Colby Eaves, Russ Elmore, JT Thompson, and Tyler Rogers. Honorary pallbearers are Charles Henry Stokes, Lowell Wilson, and Chris Blackwell.
A special thanks to Carol Marie Mars who took care of her so faithfully and lovingly. Thanks to Shiloh, Jontra and Courtney who could always get Bobbie laughing and cutting up. Thanks to Bro. Michael Wells who always had a laugh, a word of encouragement, a prayer, and sometimes even a song. Thanks to so many other nurses, CNAs, and workers too many to name. A special thank you also goes to Dr. Gentry who managed Bobbie’s healthcare as if she were his own grandmother. A special thanks to Mrs. Shirley Hughes and others in her Sunday School class. Also, thanks to Mrs. Jimmie Morgan for all the prayers, cards and calls; as well as to Dinky, Beth, and others at the Winston County Library who relentlessly kept her stocked with books to keep her busy reading for years! So many of her good friends have gone on before her but we want to especially thank Peggy Higginbotham for being such a loyal and true friend; and to Ivy Nunn and Renee Trosper who sat with her many times which helped the family tremendously.
Bobbie served with a servant’s heart. She loved others because Jesus first loved her. She knew her Savior and tried to let others know why she rejoiced. She fought so hard; she was never a quitter. Bobbie was an inspiration to all who truly knew and loved her.
Thank you, Mom, for being the kind of Godly woman described in Proverbs 31:10-31 “Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies…and let her own works praise her in the gates.”
