Mrs. Margie Robertson Gully, 92, passed away on Friday, March 8, 2024, in Bentonville, Arkansas. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, March 11th, at Vernon Assembly of God Church, with Rev. Eugene Duran officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 10:00 A.M. until service time at the church. Interment will be in Vernon Assembly of God Cemetery. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Margie was born on February 3, 1932, in Louisville, MS, to Wilbur Euin and Vera Ethel Stokes Robertson. She married Grady Edward Gully on February 5, 1949, Louisville, MS. Margie loved the Lord. She spent time praying and in His Word every day. Crocheting afghans was her loved language and she made them for all the people she loved. Her door was always open and you were always greeted with love, hugs, and a big bowl of Mamas’s Rice. Family was her whole heart.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her siblings, Willie Robertson (Pearl), Herman Robertson (Frances), Floyd Robertson, (Gloria), Steven Robertson, Harold Robertson, Mavis Robert Hanna (Kenneth), and Marion Robertson Bateman (James Paul); a sister-in-law, Mary Alice Robertson; a son-in-law, Roy Louis Thomasson; and three grandchildren, Carrie Lynette Gully Byrd, Chad Edward Gully, and Gregory Miller Vantine.
She is survived by her children, Donald Ray Gully (Donna), Mary Juanita Gully Thomasson, and Randall Edward Gully (Diane); her siblings, Wilbur Euin "Junior" Robertson, Paul Barron "Bob" Robertson, and Maxine Robertson; her grandchildren, Robert Louis Thomasson (Missy), Kevin Edward Thomasson, Sonja Renee` Thomasson Neuschwanger (David), Michael Shaddox Gully (Jody), Jared Randall Gully (Nakia), Jordin Leigh Gully, Caleb Edward Gully and Joey Denise Gall (Joe); 44 Great Grandchildren; 9 Great-great Grandchildren, 24 Nieces & Nephews; and numerous great nieces and nephews.
