Nancy Maness

On October 30, 2023, Mrs. Nancy Sybil Maness went to be with our Lord. Sybil, known to all, was born in Sturgis, MS on January 13, 1944. Her adult life was spent in Ackerman, MS, alongside her husband and their three children. She lived a joyous and active life, surrounded by family and friends. In recent years, she resided at Floy Dyer Manor, where she forged new friendships, stayed busy with various activities, and cherished outings with her loved ones.

Sybil was preceded in death by her husband, James Wesley, and their son, Wilbur. She is survived by two daughters, Ann Reese (Keith) of Woodland and Vickie Barksdale (Richard) of Senatobia, along with four grandchildren: Jennifer Sims, Mandy Gentry, Suzy Reese, and Dakota Barksdale. Her life was further enriched with four great-grandchildren.

Her funeral service will take place on November 2, 2023, at noon at Coleman Funeral Home, with visitation beginning at 11 a.m. before the service. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Concord Baptist Church.
