Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, August 19 at Doty Springs Baptist Church with Brother Tony Fortenberry officiating. Visitation will also be the day of the service at Doty Springs Baptist Church from 10:30 a.m. until the service begins. Graveside services will follow at Doty Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
Robbie Mechelle Teters was brought into this world on May 15, 1971, in Longview, Texas, and was welcomed into heaven on August 12, 2023. She was an amazing woman with a beautiful soul who never met a stranger. Known to always lend a helping hand and a shoulder to lean on she was blessed to love and be loved by many. She was devout in her faith and was a proud member of Doty Springs Baptist Church.
Robbie married Darren Ray Teters on June 9, 1990, in Hawkins, Texas. Robbie was an incredible mother to two children who loved her dearly. She was a dedicated military spouse and traveled to multiple stations of duty with her husband and children. She received the Joan of Arc award as well as the Heart of Victory award from the 1st Armored Division for her support of not only active military soldiers but their families as well during wartime.
After many years and multiple duty stations, Robbie and Darren moved back home to Mississippi to be with family and provide support for their loved ones. Always just a phone call away, she fought hard for her family and had the purest of hearts. Robbie was loved deeply and will be missed by all.
Mrs. Teters is survived by her husband of 33 years Darren Ray Teters, her daughter, Darrien Teters and husband, Chris Heavin, son, Preston Ray Teters and wife, Justine Teters; her two grandchildren Atticus Teters and Odette Teters; her mother, Patsy Coulter and stepfather, W. C. Coulter, Jr.
Serving as pallbearers are Preston Teters, Paul Holly, Randy Edwards, Chris Heavin, Tony Brown and W. C. Coulter, Jr. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials in honor of Robbie be given to The Gideons International, P. O. Box 556, Louisville, MS 39339 to donate Bibles.
