Hubbert “Hub” Hisaw

Hubbert “Hub” Hisaw, 60, passed away Friday, July 21, 2023, at Baptist Memorial Hospital—Golden Triangle in Columbus, Mississippi, with his family by his side. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, July 24 in the Nowell-Massey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Rook officiating. Visitation will be the day of the service at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until service time. Interment will immediately follow the service in New Hope Methodist Cemetery in Louisville.

Hub was born in Winston County to Johnny Ray and Maxine Stanley Hisaw on August 28, 1962. He was a retired carpenter.

Hubbert is survived by his daughter, Linda Fuqua of Como, Mississippi; and his son, Scotty Hisaw, of Greenwood, Idaho. He is also survived by his sister, Janet (Bob) Griffin of Brandon, Mississippi; two brothers, Ray Dean (Angie) Hisaw and Johnny Mack Hisaw; and his life partner, Tammy Pigg, all of Louisville; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends. One of his greatest joys was being “Grandpaw” to his two granddaughters, Annabella Fuqua and Lydia Fuqua, and his grandson, Jeremy Fuqua. Hub was preceded in death by his mother, Maxine Stanley Hisaw; his father, Johnny Ray Hisaw; and an infant sister, Nora Jean Hisaw.

Serving as pallbearers are Ray Hisaw, Dylan Hisaw, Tim Garretson, Jimbo Clark, and Ryan Smyth.
