Kerry was born on April 3, 1948, to Halbert “Bill” and Nannie V. Cooper Haimes in Winston County. He was of the Baptist faith. He loved raising and training horses to compete in harness racing. One of his greatest joys was seeing that horse pass the finish line.
Kerry is survived by his daughter, Megan Hubbard, and husband, Randy, of McCool, Mississippi; and two grandchildren, Thatcher and Braxton Hubbard. He is also survived by his sister, Sherry Miles of Philadelphia, Mississippi; and brother, Terry Haimes of Sturgis, Mississippi. Additionally, he leaves behind his nieces and nephews, other family members, and friends. Kerry was preceded in death by his parents.
