Mia was born on March 29, 1977 to Robert Craig Shaffer, Sr and Kathleen Roush Shaffer in Starkville, Mississippi. She received her Bachelor's of Science in Nursing from Ole Miss and enjoyed many years as an RN, before going back and receiving her Doctorate in Psychology from the University of Phoenix. Mia also served as a training instructor for OSHA for several years as well. In her free time, she could be found enjoying the great outdoors, especially fishing or hunting. Mia was a wonderful mom who loved her family and her kids. She had true nurse's heart and nurturing spirit and would do anything for her children at the drop of a dime. Her grandchildren also affectionately referred to her as "Nana"
Preceding her in death is precious infant son, Jordan Bradley Roberts.
Survivors include husband, Don L. Hilton, Jr; children, Karie Anna Broadway (and son-in-law, Joseph "Joe" Michael Broadway), Hugh "Blake" Craig Ray, Linzi Ann Roberts, Mary Alisha Kali Hilton, and Kamille Hilton; brother, Robbie C. Shaffer, Jr; grandkids, Elijah L. Broadway, Brinleigh Marie Ray, Ava Mae Ray, and Everleigh Marie Wolozanski; and a number of other beloved extended family members and friends.
Mia will be so dearly missed.
