Philip N. Queen

Philip N. Queen, 82, of Haughton, LA, passed away on Wednesday, Jan 25th, 2023 at Diversicare in Eupora, MS, after an extended illness.

Mr. Queen was born on December 15, 1940, in Monroe, GA, the eldest son of the late James Rufus and Sara Saphronia Jones. He was a self-employed heavy equipment mechanic and United States Air Force veteran.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ann Tracy; son, Philip James Queen; brother, Jimmy Stewart Queen (Sandra).

Those left to cherish his memories include, daughters, Cindy Kaye Mason (Shawn) of Louisville, MS and Alyssa Carroll Queen of Natchitoches, LA; sister, Janice Kinney of Statham, GA; grandchildren, Priscilla Jane Vaughn (Tim) of Humble, TX; Kimberly Nicole Commer of Louisville, MS; great grandchildren, Ryan, Madelynn, Chandler, and Cassidy of Humble, TX; and a host of extended family and friends.

A burial service will be held at the NW LA Veterans Cemetary in Keithville, LA, at a later date.

The family wishes to offer sincere thanks and gratitude to the medical staff at Overton Brooks VA Medical Center in Shreveport, LA; Select Specialty Hospital in Jackson, MS; and Diversicare in Eupora, MS; family and friends for their compassionate care and support for my father during a very difficult time.
