Kathy Ann Smith Presley

Kathy Ann Smith Presley, 52, passed away in Newton, Mississippi, on Saturday, October 15, 2022. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, October 21 in the Nowell-Massey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Marlon Adcock officiating. Visitation will be the day of the service from 12 p.m. until service time at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home in Louisville, Mississippi. Interment will immediately follow the service in Hailey-Richey Cemetery in Preston, Mississippi in Noxubee County.

Kathy was born July 7, 1970, to Larry and Catherine Swindle Smith. She enjoyed fishing, watching television, and roller skating, but most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family.

Kathy is survived by her children: Olivia Presley (Richard Case) of the Nanih Waiya Community; Danny Presley (Olivia) of Preston, Mississippi; and Robert Presley (Amanda) also of the Nanih Waiya Community. One of her greatest joys was being “MawMaw” to her five grandchildren: Laklen Presley, Anaston Presley, Lucas Smith, Wyatt Presley, and Emery Case. She also leaves behind her father, Larry Smith of Sebastopol, Mississippi; her mother, Catherine Jay of Newton; two sisters, Elizabeth Smith Street also of Newton; and Lora Mae Smith Swindoll also of Sebastopol; and two brothers Larry Floyd of Drew, Mississippi; and Wesley David Vernon Smith (Tonya) of Booneville, Mississippi; in addition to a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Kathy was preceded in death by her grandparents: Floyd G. Swindle, Elizabeth Naomi Todd Swindle; Vernon Smith, and Christine Garrard.

Serving as pallbearers are Danny Presley, Robert Presley, Richard Case, Adam Cinqermas, Tim Parker, and Clay Swindle. Honorary pallbearers are J. R. Swindoll and Robert Giachelli. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Nowell-Massey Funeral Home to help defray service expenses.
