Carolyn was a faithful member of the Edgefield Baptist Church. She will be remembered for the many children and people she took care of in the Edgefield community.
“Nee Naw” was survived by two sons, Michael (Mitzi) Black of Noxapater and Marcus (Amy) Black of Crossville, TN; one daughter, Paula Black Summerlin of McCool, MS; one sister, Marilyn (Joel) O’Briant of Louisville, MS; five grandchildren, Justin (Amber) Summerlin, Brittany (Brian) Sisson, Courtany Summerlin, Jay (Amanda) Summerlin, and Jordan (Hunter) Black; nine great-grandchildren, Macee Sisson, Hanna Ray Summerlin, Mollie Sisson, Milee Summerlin, Taylor Summerlin, Grayson Hughes, Kip Summerlin, Wyatt Hughes, and Walker Jones; brothers-in-law, Tony (Sherry) Black and Larry (Rachel) Black.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James “Randy” Black, and her parents, Houston and Clytee Lavada Ray Hunt.
Pallbearers will be Justin Summerlin, Jay Summerlin, Brian Sisson, Ryan Moyer, Joshua Black, and Jacob Black.
