June Rodgers Fox

Mrs. June Rodgers Fox, 87, died Friday, January 14, 2022, at The Pinnacle of Oxford, MS. The funeral will be Thursday, January 20, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. at Yellow Leaf Baptist Church with Rev. John Davis officiating. Visitation will be held at the church prior to the service beginning at 9:30 A.M. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 P.M. at Weir Cemetery in Weir, MS.

Mrs. Fox was born in Weir, MS to the late Harley and Vera Rodgers. She was a current and devout member of Yellow Leaf Baptist Church. Mrs. Fox formerly sang in the church’s choir, and was a current member of Encouragers Sunday School Class. This class brought her great enjoyment and an opportunity to fellowship weekly with her dear friends. Mrs. Fox found a close companion in her beloved cat, Mr. Green Eyes, who she cared greatly for. A talented crocheter, she made many beautiful afghans and doilies. Above all, Mrs. Fox was devoted to her son, Joel, and his family. It brought her great joy to be a part of his life and watch her grandchildren grow.
 
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Fox is preceded in death by her husband, Bernard “Bud” Fox; an infant son, Bernard Rodgers Fox; and a daughter-in-law, Lori Embry Fox.

Mrs. Fox is survived by her son, Joel Fox and his wife, Angie of Oxford, MS; a brother, Alton “Buddy” Rodgers of Clinton, MS; two grandchildren, Embry Ellen Fox and Mamie Grace Fox, both of Oxford, MS., two step-grandchildren, Morgan Cooper and Cayse Cooper, both of Oxford, MS and niece, Sharon Dooley of Louisville, MS.
