Connie Frey Wilson

Connie Frey Wilson, age 74, passed away on Monday, December 27, 2021, at Winston Medical Center in Louisville, Mississippi, with her loving family by her side. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, December 30 at South Louisville Baptist Church in Louisville with Bro. Trent Jaudon officiating. Visitation will be the day of the service from 11 a.m. until service time at the church. Interment will immediately follow the service in Memorial Cemetery.

Connie was born in St. Marys, Ohio, on September 3, 1947, to Lee and Edith Campbell Frey. Currently, she was a member of South Louisville Baptist Church where she enjoyed participating in the Judgment House production. Connie gave her life to the Lord in 1976 and spent many years teaching Sunday school and Vacation Bible School to all ages ranging from very young to senior adults in Gulfport, Mississippi, Norfolk, Virginia, Millington, Tennessee, and Louisville. She also provided in-home foster care for four years and served as a caregiver to older adults for approximately 10 years.

Connie is survived by her husband Billy Ray Wilson of Louisville and by her five children: Jill (Stanley) Triplett of Louisville, David (Kim) Trisel also of Louisville, Sherri (Dan) McClure of Collinsville, Mississippi, Dotti Wilson of Pelham, Alabama, and Tonya Wilson of Nashville, Tennessee. One of her greatest joys was being “MawMaw, Granny, and Grandma” to her 11 grandchildren: Joshua (Alisa) Hoening, Lindsay (Ken) Christon, Thomas Cook, Shaina Windham, Amber (Drew) Todd, Raylen (Shelby) Malboeuf, Brandon (Amanda) McClure, Nathan McClure, Anthony Quinn, Lenex Chapman, and Denver Chapman as well as her 13 great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her siblings: Edward (Linda) Frey, Nancy (Ron) Langwell, Cynthia Woten, and Beverly (Mike) Springs. Connie is preceded in death by her parents and her brother-in-law Jerry Woten.

Serving as pallbearers are Joshua Hoening, Brandon McClure, Nathan McClure, Drew Todd, Hayden Hoening, and Camden Hoening. Honorary pallbearers are Raylen Malboeuf and Gavin Boydstun. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials in honor of Connie to be given to Winston-Choctaw Gideon Camp, P. O. Box 556, Louisville, MS 39339.

The family would like to express their appreciation to the nurses and doctors at Winston Medical Center who took such excellent care of Mom during her time in the hospital. Also, thank you to South Louisville Baptist Church for providing such a loving church family which brought her so much comfort.
