Calvin Leroy Parker

Calvin Leroy Parker, age 72, passed away at his residence in Starkville, Mississippi, on November 11, 2021. Leroy was born in Corpus Christi, Texas and grew up in Louisville, MS and was a graduate of Mississippi State University. He was a retired Mechanical Contractor with Brislin Corporation; he was a member of the First Baptist Church in Starkville and attended the Berean Sunday School class; he was an active participant in the Nail Benders Mission group; he was a Bass Tournament fisherman, an avid hunter and loved trail riding his horses; he was a life time member of the Dancing Rabbit Hunting Club; he was the Mechanical Contractor for the first expansion to Davis Wade Stadium at Mississippi State University.

Services are scheduled for Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at the First Baptist Church in Starkville. Visitation will be from 10 – 11 with the funeral service to follow at 11 A.M. The Reverend Clifton Curtis will officiate the service. Burial will be in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Mantee, Mississippi.

Leroy is survived by his son, Eric Parker and his wife, Cyndi of Starkville; daughter, Leigh Bullock-Walker and her husband, Dwayne of Philadelphia; brother, Barry Parker of Louisville; sister Frankie Johns; grandchildren, Parker Bullock, Fallon Parker, Arden Parker, Sebastian Rigdon, and Noah Rutherford; great grandchildren Grayson Rigdon and Ava Bullock.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sherry Davis Parker; parents Frank Parker and Christine Kelly Parker; sister, JoAnn Parker Eubanks.
