Robert Doyle Adcock

Funeral service for Mr. Robert Doyle Adcock will be held 2 PM Friday, October 29, 2021 at Zama Baptist Church with Rev. Chris O’Daniel, Rev. Marlon Adcock, and Rev. Adelbert Adcock officiating. Visitation will be 1-2PM Friday, October 29, 2021 at Zama Baptist Church. John E. Stephens Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Robert Doyle Adcock was a native and resident of Winston County. He served in the United States Army. He worked for Libbey-Owens-Ford Glass in Shreveport, LA for 15 years. He retired in 1996 from Atapco in Kosciusko. He enjoyed his cows and going to the livestock barn every Tuesday. He liked to fish. He loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a member of Zama Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Shirley Adcock of Winston County; Son, Ricky Adcock (Charlotte) of Leake County; Grandsons, Bob Adcock (Amanda) and Aaron Adcock; Great Grandchildren, Garrett Adcock, Marli-Clare Kelly, Axton Adcock, and Hagan Adcock; sister, Dean Shumaker; brother, Marlon Adcock (Susan), a host of nieces and nephews.

Mr. Adcock was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Ervin and Jessie Mae Adcock and grandson, Daniel Adcock.

Pallbearers: Bob Adcock, Garrett Adcock, Aaron Adcock, Rev. Adelbert Adcock, Justin Thompson, and Rhyne Thompson.

Honorary pallbearers: Marli-Clare Kelly, Axton Adcock, Hagan Adcock, and
Carter Adcock.
