Olive M. Gregory

Mrs. Olive. M. Gregory, 96, passed away on Sunday, October 31, 2021, at her home in the Nanih Waiya community. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, November 3rd, at Harmony Baptist Church, with Rev. Jerry Lundy and Rev. Tommy Jones officiating. Interment will be in Harmony Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M at the funeral home. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Gregory was born November 11th, 1924 in Long Island, NY, to Olive Augusta Penny and William C. Mowbray, Jr. She was a homemaker, and a member of Harmony Baptist Church, where she was active in the Joy Group. She was preceded in death by her husband, Osler Beal Gregory; and her parents; and her step-mother, Naomi Drydon Mowbray.

She is survived by her daughter, Janet (Sammy) Robertson of Louisville; five sons, Terry Gregory of Louisville, Billy Gregory of Louisville, Bobby Gregory of Wade, MS, Tommy (Sue) Gregory of Sturgis, MS, and Ross Gregory of Louisville; two sisters, Jeanette Sturmer of New York and Judy LaVista of Raleigh, NC; one brother, William Mowbray of Raleigh, NC; 16 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Chris Bragg, Mathew Warren, Taylor Warren, Kevin Gregory, Ryan Gregory, and Jamie Gregory.
