Judy Eaves Moore

Judy Eaves Moore, 77, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 30, 2021, at the Dogwood Cottage at Winston Medical Center in Louisville, Mississippi. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, June 4 in the Nowell-Massey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Michael Wells officiating. Visitation will be the day of the service from 12:30 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Interment will immediately follow the service at Ellison Ridge Cemetery.

Judy was born September 4, 1943, to Troy and Alice Clay Eaves in Winston County, Mississippi. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Louisville. She held various positions at different businesses but her longest tenure was bookkeeping and secretarial duties along with her husband in their construction business. Judy was faithful to read her Bible each day and she enjoyed shopping; but most of all her favorite activity was spending time with her family.

Judy is survived by her daughters Susan Moody and Shannon Holdiness both of Louisville. One of her greatest joys was being “MaMaw” to her six grandchildren: Christopher Moody, Dylan Moody, Katie Holdiness, Chelsea Holdiness, Kyle (Holley) Holdiness, and Lizzie Holdiness. Additionally, she also enjoyed her six great-grandchildren: Nich Holdiness, Luke Holdiness, Jacob Moody, Wesley Holdiness, Kylie Brooke Holdiness, and Harper Elaine Peterson. Judy is also survived by her brother Ray Tingle of New Orleans, Louisiana; her sister-in-law Rhonda Tingle, and special cousins Sarah Eaves, Cindy Ward and Shirley White, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Henry Moody Moore, her parents, her brother Robbie Tingle, her aunt Doris Ward, and her son-in-law Woody Moody.

Serving as pallbearers are Wade Blaine, Robert “Chico” Holdiness, Jamie McMillan, Joseph “Bub” Miller, Johnny Sullivan, and Randy Sullivan. Honorary pallbearers are Jimmy Clardy, Gary Hughes, Joe Johns, Wayne Moody, and E. L. Vowell. Memorials in memory of Judy may be given to Ellison Ridge Church Cemetery Fund, 150 Ellison Ridge Church Road, Louisville, MS 39339.
