Johnny DeWayne Longino

Graveside Memorial Services for Johnny DeWayne Longino, 55, of Starkville, MS will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 2:00 pm, at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Hall Summit, LA with Brother Tim Page officiating and music provided by Tyler Mitchell.
Johnny was born on September 12, 1965 and passed away in an automobile accident on Thursday, January 14, 2021.

He is preceded in death by his parents Merse and Shirley Longino, his paternal grandparents, Marcus and Myrtle Longino, and his maternal grandparents, L.B. and Thelma Nichols.

Left to cherish his memories are his two sons, Zachary Longino and Colton Longino along with his former wife and mother of his children, Carolyn Robbins all of Long Beach, MS. One brother, Mark Longino and wife Mary Ann of Coushatta, one sister, Christy Gay and husband Mark of Coushatta. Very special aunt, Elaine Sessions and husband J.R. of Coushatta, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Johnny was currently employed by Betts, Inc. is Mississippi but has worked numerous saw mill jobs in many different states. He never met a stranger and always made the best of his situation no matter where his path led him. Johnny was a kind hearted man who many would say would give the shirt off his back or give his last cent no matter what he may have been going through at the time. He always put others first and would do anything to make others smile. Johnny truly had the best laugh and it brought joy to anyone who heard it. In his spare time, he enjoyed the outdoors and loved to hunt, fish, and camp with his family.

Due to the current state of Covid 19, the family asks that everyone wear masks and practice social distancing.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Mt. Zion Cemetery Fund, Hall Summit, LA.
