Billy Terry Melton

Mr. Billy Terry Melton, Jr., 30, passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2021, at his residence in Noxapater, Mississippi. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Sunday, January 10th at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Alex Arnold officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 12:00 P.M. until the service time at the funeral home. Interment will be at a later date. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Melton was born on October 7, 1990 in Kosciusko, MS. He was a deckhand for Southern Towing Company, and a member of Compassion Pentecostal Church in Germantown, TN. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Renee Burt.

He is survived by his son, Tanner Jackson Dolan of Collierville, TN; his mother, Amanda Reona Burt of Meridian, MS; his father, Billy Terry Melton, Sr. of Noxapater, MS; two sisters, Ashley Fay Nichole Melton of Leander, TX and Mary Alisabeth Cantrell of New Orleans, LA; one brother, Skyler Burt of Jackson, MS; his fiancé, Kaitlyn Chaney; and his grandparents, James Burt, Linda and Rodney Huntley, and Chubby and Brenda Melton.
