Olyn Michael Horne,53, passed away on Monday, December 7, 2020, at Winston Medical Center in Louisville, Mississippi. Graveside services and interment will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 10 at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in Noxapater, Mississippi, with Rev. Charles Rook officiating.
Michael was born August 20, 1967, to Olyn and Mae Hartness Horne in Winston County, Mississippi. He was a graduate of Noxapater High School. Through his years, Michael auctioneered, traded horses, drove 18-wheelers, and ran a traveling tack trailer. He was well-known for his outgoing and “never meeting a stranger” personality. Until his health prevented it, he was never seen without his two dogs, Wally and Ziggy.
Michael is survived by his daughter Brittani Horne of Euless, Texas, and by his brother Lamar Horne and wife Lisa of Noxapater, Mississippi. He is also survived by two nephews Brody Horne of Noxapater and Colton Horne of Starkville, Mississippi, as well as his aunts, uncles, and cousins. Michael was preceded in death by his parents.
