Earl Franklin Stagg, Sr.

Earl Franklin Stagg, Sr. age 94, died Saturday, March 21, 2020, at the Winston Medical Center in Louisville, MS following an extended illness.
Graveside services will be held at 11 am Monday, March 23, 2020, from the Pine Ridge Cemetery in Lawrence. Visitation will be held from 10 am till the service time for family and close friends at the Pine Ridge Cemetery. Rev. Victor Bugg will officiate.

Mr. Stagg was born in Vicksburg, MS to his parents Adolph E. Stagg and Bertha Butts Stagg on Saturday, August 29, 1925. He later moved to Louisville, MS. Mr. Stagg served his country for two years in the United States Army. He worked in the construction field and later worked as a truck driver for Tadlock Stockyard where he retired in 1998. He was a member of the Pine Ridge Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed the outdoors, loved spending time with his family and friends. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Patrick Neal Stagg and several siblings.

Survivors include his wife, Lucille Griffin Stagg of Louisville, MS, and 8 children: Carolyn Tremaine of George West, TX Earl Franklin Stagg, Jr. of Conehatta, MS Thomas Edward Stagg (Mary Lou) of Encinal, TX Je
rry Lynn Stagg (Elizabeth) of Forest, MS Charles Odell Stagg (Nancy) Alisha Michelle Knowles all of Newton, MS Jeffrey Lloyd Stagg (Tina) of Woodward, OK and Belinda Winters (Edward) of Louisville, MS. He is also survived by a sister, Dora Brown of Ft. Meade, FL and a legacy of 16 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Zack Timberman, Josh Poole, Justin Stagg, Matthew Stagg, Jayland Smith and Jerry Stagg, Jr.
