Mary A. White

Mary White, age 85, passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2019, at Noxubee County Nursing Home in Macon, Mississippi. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, October 14 in the Nowell Massey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wayne Hill officiating. Visitation will be Monday, October 14 from 12 noon until service time at Nowell Massey Funeral Home in Louisville. Interment will follow in Murphy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mary was born November 15, 1933 to Tom and Tamsel Acker in Alabama. She was a member of Murphy Creek Baptist Church for many years. Mary was a homemaker who loved to cook and take care of her babies which she kept in her home for many years. One thing is for sure, she loved being around her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mary enjoyed life and was always spreading her love and cheer to everyone she met.

Mary is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Neal White; her 4 daughters Kathy Hankins and husband Mike of Sulligent, Alabama, Nancy Jenkins and husband Tommy of Louisville, Ann Pigg and husband Daniel of Carthage and Dale Oglesby of Gordo, Alabama; and her brother Alfred Acker and wife Janice of Carrolton, Alabama. One of her greatest joys was being “Mammaw” to her grandchildren: Delisa Pennel and husband Sam, Teresa Eaves, Kayla Fulcher and husband Bruce, Tammy Cabiness, Mason Bennett and wife Shellie, Richie Wilson and wife Wanda, Shannon Hollis and husband Chris, and Daniel, Cody, and Tabitha Oglesby. She also leaves behind to mourn her passing several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and a host of friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; her brother and her four sisters.

Serving as pallbearers are Mason Bennett, Kasey Clay, Olan Clay, Paul Crowson, Tommy Jenkins and Richie Wilson. Memorial gifts in honor of Mary may be given to Murphy Creek Cemetery, 4220 Bond Rd, Louisville, MS 39339.
