Billie J. Hallford

Services for Billie J. Hallford will be held Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at 2 p.m. from Holy Cross Catholic Church with Father Darnis Selvanayakam officiating. Burial will be held in Holy Cross Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 18, 2019 from 5 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home. Rosary will be held at 7:30 p.m. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Hallford, 78, of Conehatta, MS died Friday, June 14, 2019 in Brandon, Ms.

He was a native of Bethsaida Community of Neshoba County, former resident of Slidell, La., Panama City, FL and Atlanta, GA before moving to Connehatta Community of Newton County. He was retired from Holnam Inc. in Atlanta where he worked as a concrete plant manager. Mr. Hallford attended Holy Cross Catholic Church and was a member of Knights of Columbus. He loved hunting and fishing and served in the United States Navy during the early 1960’s.

Survivors include his wife, Paulette Hallford of Conehatta; daughter, Tammy Bevan of Brandon; sons, Darrell Hallford (Donna) of Louisville and Danny Hallford (Amanda) of Dixon; five grandchildren, Monique Bevan, Kimberly Hallford, Joe Hallford , Zach Hallford and Evan Hallford; great-grandchild, Jaylen Hopkins; numerous nieces and nephews and their families.

Preceded in death by his parents, J.P. and Lavader Hallford; sisters, Dollie Peebles, Edna Stone, and two infant sisters; brother, James Hallford.
