Edwin Leon Clark, Sr. passed away Friday, May 17, 2019, at Baptist Hospital in Desoto, MS. He was 85 years old. He was born June 22, 1933, in Stewart, Mississippi, to Luther Erwin and Eulalia (Wilson) Clark. Mr. Clark retired from the navy and civil service.
Services will be held on Friday, May 24, 2019, 10:00 a.m., at New Haven Baptist Church, near Weir, MS, with Rev. Don Parish officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, May 23, 2019, from 5:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m., at Coleman Funeral Home, and 9:00 a.m. till service time, Friday, May 24, 2019, at New Haven Baptist Church.
Mr. Clark is survived by his wife, Bennie Ruth (King) Clark of Hernando, MS, 2 sons, Edwin Leon Clark, II of West Point, MS, David Earl Clark of Hernando, MS, 2 sisters, Louise Hall of Olive Branch, MS, Allie Pearl Ervin of Atlanta, GA, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
Mr. Clark was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, and 2 sisters.
