Ray Wright

Holland Ray Wright, Jr., 68, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2019, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. Visitation will be Friday, April 19 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Nowell Massey Funeral Home in Louisville, Mississippi. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 20 in the Nowell Massey Funeral Home Chapel in Louisville with Rev. Charles Rook officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Ray was born August 14, 1950, to Holland Ray Wright, Sr. and Juanita Shepperd Wright in Louisville. For more than 40 years, he has been the owner of Wright’s Auto Service keeping many vehicles in Louisville and the surrounding area on the move. Ray was a dedicated caregiver lovingly caring for his wife at home as long as he could. He dearly loved his family and enjoyed spending time with family, friends, and customers.

Ray is survived by his wife Deborah White Wright; and his mother Virginia Juanita Wright both of Louisville. He also leaves behind two daughters Jaclyn Wright and husband Cody Frey also of Louisville; and Teresa Hart of Fort Worth, Texas; his sister Ramona L. Schiefelbein and husband Larry of Franklin, Tennessee; and three brothers: John B. (Sandra) Wright of Noxapater, Mississippi; Robert W. Wright of Cordova, Tennessee; and Kenneth L. Wright of Louisville . One of his greatest joys was being “Grandpa” to his four grandchildren: Coral Starich, McKenzie Vanags, Emerson Hart and Logan Hart. He is preceded in death by his father and his brother Ronald Ray Wright.

Serving as pallbearers will be Terry Arnett, David Hill, Dr. Sam Suttle, Michael White, John Winstead, John B. Wright, Kenneth L. Wright, and Tony Wood. Honorary pallbearers are Cody Frey, Randy Vowell, and Brian White. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be given to Nowell Massey Funeral Home to help defray funeral expenses.
