Dorothy Ann Hammond Lee

 Dorothy Ann Hammond Lee, 83, of McDonald, Tennessee, formally of Louisville, passed away March 16, 2019, at Grace Healthcare Nursing Home in Decatur, Tennessee. Visitation will be Thursday, March 21, 2019, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Nowell Massey Funeral Home in Louisville.

Dorothy was born June 8, 1935, the only daughter of the late Earl and Pauline (Polly) Hammond of Louisville. She graduated from Louisville High School in 1953. Dorothy was baptized at an early age and she and Bill were members of Chester Baptist Church in Ackerman, Mississippi. Dorothy had a strong religious faith until her passing. She worked in several industries of businesses including real estate, advertising executive, oil and gas purchases, and others. Dorothy enjoyed researching genealogy and compiled several family trees. She and her husband, Bill, traveled extensively through most of the United States.

Dorothy married William Calvin Holliday on December 23, 1954, and was blessed with three surviving daughters Cynthia Holliday Kenmar and husband Danny of Maggie Valley, North Carolina; Suzanne Holliday Clow and husband Dan of Decatur, Tennessee; and Dorothy Virginia Holliday Rice and husband Glenn of McDonald, Tennessee. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren and was anticipating the birth of another great-grandchild in July. Dorothy is survived by other relatives and friends as well as her precious cat, Bebe, that she loved. Her husband of 23 years, William Clyde Lee, preceded her in death December 5, 2018.

Funeral services for Dorothy and memorial services for Bill will be 11 a.m. Friday, March 22, in the Nowell Massey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rob Faulk officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Thomas Atkinson, Chad Owen, Glenn Rice, Daniel Kenmar, David Schendel, and James King.
