Mrs. Janis Ruth Kemp Allen, 71, passed away on February 7, 2019, at the Winston County Nursing Home in Louisville, MS. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
Mrs. Allen was born November 4, 1947, in Louisville, MS. She was a freelance abstractor in the oil industry, worked at Georgia Pacific for many years, and owned Serendipity, a children’s clothing store. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Allen; her parents, Doris Triplett Kemp and J.V. Kemp; and one brother, James Vivian Kemp.
She is survived by her daughter, Jenny (John) Rukas of Noxapater, MS; one granddaughter, Shelby (Jon Salgado) Payne; and one brother, Evan Kemp of Louisville, MS.
