Fran Misso

Ms. Sarah Fran Misso passed away on Tuesday, February 19, 2019, at the age of 59 years. Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Friday, February 22, in the Nowell Massey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Childs and Rev. Shayne Martin officiating Visitation will be the day of the service from 11 a.m. until service time at Nowell Massey Funeral Home in Louisville.

Fran was born May 14, 1959, to Frank and Lillian Stanton. She was a member of First Methodist Church and was also active in The Way Community Church. Fran began her nursing career in August 1992. She was employed by Winston Medical Center for 17 years and she served as the Director of Nurses for the Winston County Nursing Home for 10 years where her co-workers, employees, and residents became a part of her family. To Fran, life was precious and it was about being with those she loved. She loved spending time with her “girls” at the beach; “laying out” with them by the swimming pool; and traveling to South Carolina to visit her friends Pat and Chuck as well as other destinations. She also enjoyed painting, crafts, and her fur babies. She touched so many lives with her spunky spirit and infectious laughter.

Fran is survived by her daughters Brandi Krajewski (Alan) and Bridget Turner (Robyn Mitchell). One of her greatest joys was being “NaNa” to her girls Taylor, Katie, and Lindsey Krajewski. She was also “Mama” to her pets Dozer, Dixie, and Snickers. Fran will also be remembered by a host of extended family and friends that she loved as her own. She is preceded in death by her parents.

Serving as pallbearers are Ben Cumberland, David Gookin, Mike Perkins, Bryce Stanton, Eli Stanton, and Dow Thomas. Honorary pallbearers are the Staff of Winston Medical Center Senior Care Services.
