Mrs. Betty Jo Middleton Todd, 90, formerly of Louisville, MS, passed away December 9, 2018 at the Windsor Nursing Home in Columbus, MS. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 12th, at 11:00 A.M. at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Newlie Long officiating. Visitation will held from 10:00 A.M until the service time at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Betty Joe Middleton Todd was born in Copiah County, Mississippi on August 22, 1928. She was the daughter of U.T. Middleton and Bonnie Bell Stevens Middleton, who preceded her in death.
Betty Jo was a graduate of Georgetown School, Copiah Lincoln Junior College, and Mississippi College. She received her Masters of Education from Mississippi College, and served as an elementary school teacher in the Louisville Municipal School District for 36 years.
Betty is predeceased by her parents; her husband of 58 years Edsel; her brother Melton Middleton; and her sister Isla Corl.
She is survived by a daughter, Kathy Callahan of Columbus, MS; two grandchildren, Kristine Jaynes (Jordy) of Columbus, MS, and Scott Callahan (Brianna) of Phoenix, AZ; three great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
