Duayne Moore

Duayne Moore, 91, died on June 8, 2018, at Texas State Veterans Home in Bonham, Texas. Graveside services will be held at Rocky Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery on Sunday, June 17, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. with the Reverend Jerry Lundy officiating. Visitation will be the day of the service from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Nowell Massey Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Rocky Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Duayne was born in Winston County, Mississippi, to Coy and Lattie Talbert Moore on November 16, 1926, and lived during his early years in the Rocky Hill community. He was a veteran, who served his country during WWII. After the war, he lived in several states while he worked as a sheetrock contractor, but he chose to spend his retirement years in Bonham, Texas.
Duayne is survived by his sons, Richard Duayne Moore (and wife Deborah) and Kipton Eugene Moore. He is also survived by one sister, Thelma Moore Douglas, of Pensacola, Florida, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins, who loved him dearly. He is preceded in death by his parents; his first and second wives, Virginia and Elsie; his brothers, Marion Moore and Leroy Moore; and his sisters, Evelyn Moore Hanna and Pauline Moore Hinds.

Pallbearers will be James Hanna, Britt Goodin, Keith Goodin, Steve Moore, Jay Synard, Raymond McKay, and Rusty Hanna.
