A native of Neshoba County, she lived in the Meridian Area for most of her life. She retired from Roadway Express in 2000, and then moved back to Neshoba County to enjoy retirement with family, yard work, and especially fishing with her sister. Mrs. Stegall was a member of Mars Hill Baptist Church in Winston County.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Johnnie G. Stegall of Philadelphia; sister, Dorothy (Jasper) Commer of Philadelphia; nephews, Donnie (Faron) Commer, Terry (Tammie) Commer; nieces, Betty (Jimmy) Kirkland and Pam (Wendell) Manning; nine great-nieces and nephews; 18 great-great nieces and nephews; and pet dog, Racer, whom she loved dearly.
Pallbearers are Donald Joe Nowell, Jeffery Kirkland, Trenton Kirkland, Colton Ingram, J. P. Watson, Jay Dee Madison, Stuart Ingram, Nathan Commer, Trevor Commer, Jack Commer and Jacob Kirkland.
