Evelyn Triplett Eaves

Evelyn Triplett Eaves, age 94, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, February 24, 2018, at Oktibbeha County Hospital in Starkville, Mississippi. Visitation will be Monday, February 26, 2018, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Nowell Massey Funeral Home in Louisville. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 27, 2018, in the Nowell Massey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Keen officiating. Interment will follow in Murphy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Evelyn was born November 21, 1923, to Isom Lee and Claudia Rodgers Triplett. She was of the Baptist faith and she was a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, and was an avid quilter. Her deep love for her family was evident every Sunday at lunch when everyone came to eat.

Evelyn is survived by two daughters, Clara Fulton of Carthage; and Virginia Charlton and husband, Hunter; her son, Paul Eaves and wife, Shirley; daughter-in-law, Mary Eaves, all of Louisville; and her sister, Ruby Schoal of Huntsville, Alabama. One of her greatest joys was being “Granny” to her nine grandchildren: Mike Fulton (Shirley); Tammy Stewart (Ruston); Mylissa Dees (Scott); Jason Eaves (Dallas); Leigh Ann Ross (Jason); Gidget Mills (Danny); Patrick Charlton (Heather); Katherine Ming (Dewayne); and Chris Eaves (Michelle). She also loved being “Big Nana” to 17 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. T. Eaves; two sons, Thomas Eaves and David Eaves; her parents; brothers, A. T. Triplett, W. T. Triplett, and Vernon Triplett; and sisters, Patsy Flake, Rosie Triplett; Katie Sloan; Mary Sanders; and Ruth Morgan.

Serving as pallbearers are Patrick Charlton, Chris Eaves, Jason Eaves, Mike Fulton, Ty Fulton, and Auston Stewart. Memorial contributions in honor of Evelyn may be given to Murphy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 5420 Bond Road, Louisville, MS 39339.
