Rosemary McGinnis Jensen

Ms. Rosemary McGinnis Jensen, 60, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, November 11, 2017, at her residence in Ackerman, Mississippi. Visitation will be Monday, November 13, 2017, at Friendship Baptist Church in Sturgis, Mississippi from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, November 14, 2017, at Friendship Baptist Church, with visitation beginning at 1 p.m. until service time with Rev. Dan Robertson officiating. Interment will follow in Craig Springs Cemetery in Sturgis.

Rosemary was born August 28, 1957, to Victor and Sarah Jean Frazier Stribling. Ms. Rosemary was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. She loved and cared for others, spending time with family, friends and grandkids, and was an avid fan of Elvis Presley. Rosemary worked at the United States Postal Service in Sturgis; Rolling Hills in Starkville, and also worked at Vickers Personal Care in Mathiston, Mississippi.

Ms. Jensen is survived by her daughter, Carmen Jensen, of Ackerman; two sons, Chris McGinnis and wife, Marica; and Kevin McGinnis and wife, Sunny, both of Maben, Mississippi. She enjoyed being “RoRo” to her grandchildren: Austin McGinnis, Georgia McGinnis, Tate McGinnis, and Eden McGinnis. Rosemary leaves behind her mother, Jean Stribling, of Sturgis; two sisters, Loretta McKenzie and husband, Jake, also of Sturgis; Carol Ray, of Starkville; and two brothers, Leon Stribling and wife, Alice; and Richard Stribling, both of Sturgis. She was preceded in death by her father, Vic Stribling; and her brothers, Tony and Mike Stribling.

Serving as pallbearers are Houston Massey, Ronnie Massey, Steve Massey, Cory McDonald, Scotty McDonald, Joey McGinnis, Steve McGinnis, and Bo Stribling. Memorial contributions in honor of Ms. Rosemary may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Tribute Program, P. O. Box 1000 Department 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142
