Bonnie Sue Heath

Ms. Bonnie Sue Heath, 85, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, October 19, 2017, at her daughter’s residence in Louisville, Mississippi. Funeral services will be Sunday, October 22, 2017, at 3 p.m. in the Nowell Massey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Addy officiating. Visitation will be the day of the service from 2 p.m. until service time at Nowell Massey Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Bonnie Sue was born November 17, 1931, to Harvey Lee and Mary Bell Bane Pearson. She was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church in Louisville. Bonnie Sue, along with her husband Wade, owned and operated the Qwik-Pic on North Court Avenue, which was the first convenience store in Louisville. Next, she was co-owner of Heath’s Grocery; and later, she owned and enjoyed working in her antique shop, Sue’s Antiques, on Highway 14 West. During her time at Winston County Nursing Home, she developed a love to dance.

Ms. Heath is survived by three daughters, Sharon Heath of Louisville; Millie Slay and husband, Scotty, of Clinton, Mississippi; and Glenda Dempsey of Philadelphia, Mississippi; and one son, Ted Heath also of Louisville. She is also survived by four grandchildren: Amanda Eekhof and husband, Marc; Jennifer Heath de Castro and husband, Kennard; Lisa Addy and husband, David; and Michelle Delahanty and husband, Steve; and five great-grandchildren: Braxton Hale, Grace Addy, Jonathan Addy, Marissa Eekhof, and Marley Eekhof. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wade Fuller Heath; her son, Wade Harvey “Wadie” Heath; and her parents.

Serving as pallbearers are Ricky Bane, Jay Eichelberger, Mon Eichelberger, Bubba Hudspeth, Tommy Jefcoat, and Buster McAdory.
Memorial contributions in honor of Ms. Heath may be given to Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, 445 Giffin Rd., Louisville, MS 39339.
