Mr. Joseph Dale Gentry, 56, died Thursday, March 16, 2017, in Meridian, MS. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 15th, at Bevil Hill United Methodist Church, with Rev. Dale was born January 31, 1961, to Earnestine and Willie Joe Gentry. He was a truck driver, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping.
He is survived by a brother, Mark (Joye) Gentry of Louisville, MS, a sister, Robin Hinton of Guntown, MS; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Sherry Davis Parker
Sherry Davis Parker, 69, passed away on March 16, 2017 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS. She worked for Human Resources at Mississippi State University and was a member of First Baptist Church in Starkville. One of her greatest loves was her card ministry in which she shared words of encouragement with those she loved. She also had love for all her dogs and horses.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe Bob and Ruth Davis and sister, Betty Collum.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Leroy Parker; daughter, Leigh Bullock; son, Eric Parker (Cyndi); and three grandchildren, Parker Bullock, Fallon Parker and Arden Parker.
Services are scheduled for Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 11:00 in the main sanctuary of the First Baptist Church in Starkville. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. with the funeral service to follow at 11:00. Graveside service will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Mantee, MS.
Memorials may be made to the Oktibbeha Humane Society, P.O. Box 297, Starkville, MS 39760.

Troy Lee Holder, 73, passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2017, at his residence in Louisville, Mississippi. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 7, 2017, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Nowell Massey Funeral Home in Louisville, Mississippi. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 8, 2017, in the Nowell Massey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. DeWayne Kelsey and Rev. Wayne Hill officiating. Interment will be in the Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery.
Troy was born December 30, 1943, in Columbus, Mississippi to John Clifton and Christine Watkins Holder. He was a member of West End Baptist Church and a retired truck driver from Baker’s Ready Mix.
Troy is survived by his son, David Lee Holder and his wife, Helen Holder both of Louisville. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his daughter, LeAnn Holder.
Serving as pallbearers are Berar Bolt, Jerry Booth, Johnny Copeland, James Hamm, Donny Hollis, and Scotty White. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions in honor of Troy Lee Holder be given to Nowell Massey Funeral Home to help defray funeral expenses.
