William G. “Bill” Warmack, 75, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, September 17, 2016, at the VA Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 20, 2016, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home in Louisville, Mississippi. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 21, 2016, in the Nowell Massey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wayne Hill officiating.
Bill was born August 31, 1941, to Frances Lloyd and Ophelia Louise Moore Warmack in Quitman, Georgia. He was a member of the Louisville Lions Club and VFW. He was a race car fanatic; he enjoyed motorcycle and car races; and he served six years in the United States Coast Guard. Mr. Warmack was a resident of Louisville for 46 years and owned and operated Warmack Paint Contracting of Louisville.
Mr. Warmack is survived by his wife of 51 years, Pat H. Warmack of Louisville; and his children: Myrna Lynn Wade and husband, Frank, of Forest, Mississippi; William Gene Warmack, Jr. and wife, Renee, of Louisville; Cheryl Annette Harbin and husband, Ricky, of Duck Hill, Mississippi; and Fran Warmack Kent and husband, Michael, of Cullman, Alabama. Bill dearly loved his grandchildren and one of his greatest joys was being “Paw Paw” to his nine grandchildren: Jordan Copeland, Trace Wade, Presley Wade, Brooks Warmack, Lakin Warmack, Courtney McNatt, Caitlin Mitchell, Lauren Harbin, and Landon Harbin. Also left to mourn his passing is six great-grandchildren. Bill also loved his “furry” grandchildren: Cocoa, Cassie, and Lucky Kent. He was preceded in death by his parents.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions in honor of Mr. Warmack be given to VA Medical Center Voluntary Services.
