Mrs. Donna Sue Hanna, 64, died Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at Neshoba General Hospital in Philadelphia, MS. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, September 25th , at Coye Assembly of God in Preston, MS, with Rev. Lee Watson, Rev. Mark Thompson, and Dr. Jon Martin officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M at Porter Funeral Home, and on Sunday from 1:00 P.M. until service time at the church. Interment will be in Vernon Assembly of God Cemetery.
Sue was born July 8, 1952, in Neshoba County, MS. She was a graduate of Neshoba Central High School and retired after over twenty-five years as a child support enforcement officer with the Mississippi Department of Human Services. She was a member of Coye Assembly of God. She was preceded in death by her father, Willie B. Smith, and a sister, Charlotte Dean.
Sue is survived by her husband, Kenny Joe Hanna of Louisville; two sons, Tate (Deedra) Hanna of Louisville, and Trent (Mary Katherine) Hanna of Union, MS; her mother, Ora Maude Smith of Philadelphia, MS; two brothers, Willie Charles Smith and Jimmy Banks Smith, both of Philadelphia, MS; and six grandchildren, Zach Hanna, Lane Hanna, Kenny Ray Hanna, Landrey Hanna, T. J. Hanna, and Layton Hanna.
Pallbearers will be Terry Spears, Darron Smith, Bobby Spears, Stan Copeland, Lee Robertson, Chris Moody, Jimmy Dale Smith, Buzz Merritt, Eddie Posey, Ty Higginbotham, John David Higginbotham, and Steve Sullivan. Memorials may be made to the Gideons.
