Billie Sandra Pickett, 69, passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2016, at her home in Louisville, Mississippi. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. on Friday, July 8, 2016, in the Nowell-Massey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wayne Hill officiating. Visitation will be the day of the service from 11 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow in the Good Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.
Sandra was born June 1, 1947 to William J. and Louise Moody Lipscomb. She enjoyed being part of the New Hope and First United Methodist Church Family. Sandra was a teacher aide in the Louisville Municipal School District and loved antique dealing.
Sandra is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Warren Pickett; and by her son, Michael Pickett both of Louisville. She is also survived by her sister, Dorothy Mitchell and husband, Johnny, of Cedar Bluff, Mississippi; and her brother, Dr. Eddie Lipscomb and wife, Dr. Betsy Lipscomb, of Port Gibson, Mississippi. One of her greatest joys was being “Gan Gan” to her five grandchildren. Mrs. Pickett was preceded in death by her parents.
Serving as pallbearers will be Colby Kemp, Dr. Eddie Lipscomb, John Marshall Mitchell, Johnny Mitchell, Michael Pickett, and Warren Pickett.
