Georgia Elizabeth Price Bennett, 94, died Thursday, July 28, 2016, at Traceway Manor. She was born July 16, 1922, in Winston County to Mr. and Mrs. F. E. Price. She was a homemaker and the widow of Gilbert Bennett. Elizabeth was a member of First Presbyterian Church for the last seventeen years.
Survivors include four daughters, Sherron Somerville (Dixon) of Owensville, Missouri, Jane Barefoot (Bill) of Clinton, Teresa Biddle (Kirk) of Tupelo and Carol Peebles (David) of Starkville; eight grandchildren, Leigh Gray, Rebecca Tardy (Tom), Jim Hathcock (Kristi), Jan S. Harper (Charlie), Jill Shropshire, David Biddle (Taylor) Warren Biddle (Heather) and Margaret Pitcock (Jay); three step-grandchildren, Chad Barefoot, Jason Barefoot and Alex Barefoot (Lisa); sister-in-law, Dorothy Thompson; three nephews, Cliff, Tim and Kenny Price; niece, Cynthia Price; twelve great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Bennett; her parents and four brothers.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. Sunday, July 31, 2016, at W. E. Pegues, Tupelo.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 1, 2016, at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Dr. Ron Richardson and Dr. Tom Groome officiating. Graveside services will be 4 p.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery in Louisville, Mississippi.
