Ms. Steed was born May 2, 1927, to Jeff Paul Eaves and Minnie Dickerson Eaves. She was a member of Crystal Ridge Baptist Church and she was a sales person at various places during her career.
Ruby is survived by her daughter, Elsie Faye King; and her son, Lionel Warner and wife, Vernice, all of Louisville. One of her greatest joys was being “Granny” to her five grandchildren: Tammy Garretson and husband, Tim; Pam Hall and husband, David; James King; Jerry Lee King; and Jeff King. Also left to mourn her passing is five great-grandchildren: John Mark Dickerson and wife, Kristen; Lindsey collier and husband Stephen; Dani Stewart and husband, Jeremy; Tom Knotts and wife, Lana; and Robyn King. Ms. Steed was preceded in death by her husband, Elmo Steed; her parents; nine siblings; two grandsons, James Warner and James Alvin Pernell; and her son-in-law, Benny King.
Serving as pallbearers will be Tim Eaves, Bubba Rogers, Stephen Collier, Chris White, and Jonathan McMillen.
