Melissa was born August 11, 1978, the oldest of four daughters born to James “Marty” Bryan and Beth Warner Chandler. She had lived in Georgia since 2007 where she was a very dedicated, loving teacher to children with special needs in Clayton County and DeKalb County schools. Melissa was a great mother to Christopher. He was the “joy of her life” and Bill was her anchor in life. Bill supported her every decision and is dedicated to “Jenn” and Christopher. Bill and Christopher will miss going on adventures with her. She loved to just pack-up and go riding off on a family adventure. Melissa was loved dearly by her mother, sisters, and family; she will be greatly missed.

Melissa is survived by her parents, Neal and Beth Chandler of Louisville; her son, Christopher Lee Bryan; and her chosen partner and fiancé, Bill Rose, both of Peachtree Corners, Georgia. She is also survived by four sisters: Heather Kennedy and husband, J. D. of Sumrall, Mississippi; Christy Bryan and husband, Chad Sutton, of Long Beach, Mississippi; Rachael Ayala and husband, Dorian, currently stationed in Germany; and Amy Chandler Brown and husband, Patrick, of Madison, Mississippi; and her brother, Brian Chandler and wife, Carrie, of Ocean Springs, Mississippi. Melissa also leaves behind to mourn her passing, her grandmother Ruth Warner; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Marty Bryan; and her grandparents, Jack Warner; and Jack and Jane Bryan.

Serving as pallbearers will be D. J. Baxter, Grant Baxter, J. D. Kennedy, Chad Sutton, Bubba Warner and Robert Warner.
