Warine Rogers

Warine Rogers, 84, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, April 20, 2016, at her residence in Louisville, Mississippi. Visitation will be Thursday, April 21, 2016, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Nowell Massey Funeral Home in Louisville. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 22, 2016, in the Nowell Massey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Glynn Barker officiating. Interment will follow in Camp Ground Methodist Cemetery.

Warine was born May 2, 1931, to William “Hut” and Stella Stanley Watkins. She was a member of Camp Ground United Methodist Church and she was retired from TRW in Louisville.

Ms. Rogers is survived by three daughters: Joanne Cheatham and husband, Gary, of Louisville; Pam Putt and husband, Bill; and Alice Bassett all of Starkville; and by two sons, Doug Rogers and Wayne Rogers both of Louisville. Also left to mourn her passing is two sisters, Peggy Childs of Louisville and Lena Huey and husband, William, of Newton, Mississippi; and two brothers, Felix Watkins and wife, Georgia; and Ricky Watkins all of Louisville. One of the greatest joys of her life was being “Granny” to her three grandchildren: Chad Cheatham, Tyler Duncan, and Courtney Rogers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Rogers; three sisters, Marie Stevenson, Gay Hatcher, and Sue Reed; her granddaughter, Brittany Bassett; and two great-grandchildren, Lexi Bassett and Chris Perry (Bassett) Benson.
