Marion Hamm

Marion Hamm, 86, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, March 27, 2016, at his residence in Louisville, Mississippi. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 30, 2016, in the Nowell Massey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gerald Butler and Rev. Dewayne Kelsey officiating. Visitation will be the day of the service at Nowell Massey Funeral Home from 12 p.m. until service time. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Marion was born August 23, 1929, to Jern and Ada Richardson Hamm. He was a member of Zion Chapel Pentecostal Church. Mr. Hamm was an avid gardener and he loved to hunt and fish as well. He retired from Georgia Pacific as a debarker and he was a farmer.

Mr. Hamm is survived by his wife of 64 years, Bobbie Hamm; two daughters, Kathy Rogers and husband, Keith; and Kimberly Hamm Fulcher and friend, Jeramy Price; and his son, Ronny Hamm all of Louisville. One of his greatest joys was being “PawPaw” to his two grandsons, Brandon Rogers and Jamie McAdory and wife, Jeanie, with whom he enjoyed spending much of his time; as well as five great-grandchildren: Jade and J. D. Chandler; Kayla, Hayley, and Sydney Rogers. Also left to mourn his passing is two sisters, Allene Peters and Frances Quinn both of Louisville; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his siblings Madge Brumfield, Lorene Dees, Ada Mae Hamm; and Donald, J. E., and Fred Hamm.

Serving as pallbearers will be Scott Eaves, Kevin Hamm, Jamie McAdory, Paul Pearson, Jeramy Price, and Brandon Rogers. Memorials may be given to Zion Chapel Pentecostal Church, Louisville, MS 39339.
